Ingredients:
- 1 whole duck (about 4-5 pounds)
- Salt and pepper
- 1 orange
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
- Green onions, chopped for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Remove the giblets from the duck and pat it dry with paper towels. Prick the skin of the duck all over with a fork, being careful not to pierce the meat.
3. Season the duck generously with salt and pepper, inside and out.
4. Cut the orange in half and squeeze the juice from one half. Rub the inside and outside of the duck with the orange juice.
5. Place the duck on a roasting rack in a roasting pan, breast side up.
6. In a small saucepan, combine the honey, soy sauce, cider vinegar, garlic, ginger, and Chinese five spice powder. Heat over low heat until the honey is melted and the ingredients are well combined.

8. Roast the duck in the preheated oven for about 2 hours, basting with the glaze every 20-30 minutes.
